This variety of Cryptocoryne displays teardrop shaped green to brownish leaves with a more upright growth pattern than other Cryptocoryne varieties. Cryptocoryne walkeri enjoys a nutrient rich substrate and will grow rapidly if ideal conditions are met, creating new plantlets via runners under the substrate. It is ideal for rapidly creating thick hedges of deep colour via replanting of these plantlets.
