Dwarf Riccia Riccia fluitans 'Mini'
Fully grown/attached on steel mesh for at least 10 weeks
Dwarf Riccia looks like a miniature version of standard Riccia, growing thick bright green clusters of tiny narrow fronds. It is a species of liverwort rather than a moss.
It is perfect for creating soft cushions of green throughout the aquarium and can also be used as a floating feature, where if left untrimmed will eventually grow into a spherical clump. It is recommended to use cotton thread to affix Dwarf Riccia to hardscape while it establishes and anchors itself.
Dwarf Riccia is easy to grow, preferring relatively soft water as its main requirement. With CO2 and bright lighting it will grow quickly, otherwise it will still survive under medium lighting. Low lighting may not be sufficient for growth. It does not have strict temperature needs and will be happy anywhere between 15-30°.
