LCA Base is a rich lava substrate that is used to promote growth of bacteria and for its biological filtration properties.
Perfect as the first layer below soils and other substrates or used alone
LCA Base is safe for shrimp, fish and other aquatic life and will not affect pH, GH, kH, TDS or other water parameters.

To those who wants to work out how much substrate/litres you need for a given tank size.
Formula for volume of tank (cm) is:
(length x width x height) / 1000 = Volume/ litres
so for e.g , a 60x45x50 tank with a substrate 5cm deep (uniform).
60 x 45 x 5 (height of substrate)
= 13500cm3 / 1000 = 13.5 litres.
